Reporting to: Program Director
Your role in the mission:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Ensure schedules are accurate, updated, and reflect the current status.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment of the project schedule with business objectives.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey project timelines and dependencies to team members and stakeholders.
- Produce clear and concise schedule-related documents and reports, publishing and distributing the project schedule on a weekly basis.
- Respond to changes in the project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Proactively address scheduling issues and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
- Work with project managers and team members to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, management, or a related field.
- 5 years of direct work experience in project scheduling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project is mandatory, nice to have knowledge of Primavera P6, and other project management tools is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products, knowledge of Python, Excel Macro and VBA is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
